Job summary

Sherwood Forest Hospitals have an exciting opportunity to join the Gynaecology team at King's Mill Hospital as a Triage Co-ordinator!

The role provides administrative support and coordination of high quality patient care to those affected by gynaecological cancer. The successful candidate with be a point of contact for patients throughout their hospital attendance to ensure accessible and customer focused care.

You will work alongside a multi-disciplinary team to ensure administrative support throughout the patient's journey at Sherwood Forest Hospitals.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Contacting patients by telephone to confirm upcoming appointments Proactively monitor and optimise the booking of all clinic
  • Liaise with Consultants, Doctors and Specialist Nurses as required
  • Provide a patient centred and timely and efficient response
  • Organise, plan, and prioritise workloads sufficiently and effectively

  • Computer literate, with experience of using a keyboard with a high level of accuracy
  • Knowledge of NHS or service provider in general
  • Thorough knowledge of healthcare administrative systems and processes
  • Knowledge of databases, spreadsheets i.e. Careflow, Dragon, ICE, Orion, Excel, or similar applications
