Exciting Opportunity for a Band 7 Sonographer!

About the Role:

  • Position:Band 7 Sonographer
  • Hours:Part-time, 24 hours per week
  • Requirements: Post Graduate Diploma in Medical Ultrasound or Equivalent, HCPC registered.

Our Ultrasound Department:

  • Team:A supportive team of sonographers covering general medical, obstetrics, and gynaecology ultrasound, including early pregnancy.
  • Specialist Roles:MSK, neonatal hips and heads, head and neck, and contrast-enhanced ultrasound.
  • Development:We actively encourage and support role development and CPD.

Responsibilities:

  • Report all your own work.
  • Participate in the training of student sonographers.
  • Travel to our other sites at Mansfield Community and Newark Hospitals.

Exciting Developments: We are creating a Community Diagnostic Centre at the Mansfield Community Hospital Site, and Ultrasound will be a key part of this development.

  • Underpinning theory and professional knowledge acquired through diploma/degree

Desirable

  • Specialist expertise, underpinned by theory and practical experience acquired through diploma/ degree/post graduate study.

Qualifications

  • DCR or BSc (Hons Radiography
  • DMU or Post graduate qualification in ultrasound at M level
  • Evidence of further study
  • HPC registered

Desirable

  • Teaching skills
  • Counselling course

  • Supervisory experience
  • Previous significant NHS experience
  • This may be supplemented by short courses + CPD.
