Qualifications/Academic/Craft/ Professional
Essential
- Evidence of commitment to continued learning or improvement through attendance of courses.
- Educated to GCSE standard with passes at Grade 4 or above for English and Maths or equivalent experience/qualifications.
- Excellent IT & Keyboard skills
Desirable
- NVQ Level 3 in healthcare or equivalent experience.
- Training in motivational coaching and interviewing pr equivalent experience.
Further Training

- Willingness to undertake training identified
- Experience within preoperative assessment.
- Experience of using initiative and willingness to challenge appropriately.
- The ability to build a rapport and trust with a diverse group of people quickly and effectively.
- Must be able to clearly and accurately convey information verbally to different audiences including GPs, healthcare staff, Consultants, Admin & Clerical staff and external healthcare providers.
- Good telephone skills.
- Must be able to handle distressed or aggressive patients and carers.
- Willingness to challenge clinicians appropriately concerning capacity issues and patient queries.
