Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and dynamic physiotherapist to join our Pelvic, Obstetric and Gynaecological physiotherapy team at Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Trust on a permanent basis.

You will be joining a forward thinking innovative team at an exciting time. The team has a focus on compassionate leadership, staff well-being and valuing every member of the team for their unique contributions.

The post holder will have previous experience working in Pelvic, Obstetric and gynaecological physiotherapy. They will provide Physiotherapy assesment and treatment to patients in both the inpatient and outpatient setting, being accountable for their own actions and recognising their own professional boundaries and competencies.

Knowledge Requirements

Essential

  • Sound clinical knowledge of Pelvic Health Physiotherapy with experience in the field at band 5 level (or extensive undergraduate experience).
  • Substantive graduate clinical experience
  • Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise and manage a busy workload effectively.
  • Ability to work well as a team member and helping to motivate other team members as required.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, accurately and in a logical manner both interpersonally (with patients/colleagues) and via written and electronic records across multiple formats.
  • Ability to explain, persuade, motivate and empathise with people.
  • Experience of the supervision and education of other staff members and undergraduate students

Desirable

  • Experience of Pelvic Health Physiotherapy clinical practice at Band 6 level.

Qualifications Academic/ Craft/ Professional

Essential

  • BSc (Hons) or Graduate Diploma in Physiotherapy or equivalent
  • Registration with HCPC

Desirable

  • Membership with POGP
  • MSc in relevant area of study.

Further Training

Essential

  • Evidence of experience in the form of an up to date professional development portfolio
  • Evidence of post graduate study relevant to Physiotherapy

Desirable

  • Post graduate study specifically within pelvic health field.
  • Clinical Educators Course

Experience

Essential

  • Demonstratable clinical experience of pelvic health physiotherapy at band 5 level as minimum requirement (consideration will be given to those able to demonstrate extensive undergraduate experience of pelvic health and comprehensive, well rounded transferrable skills from other clinical areas)
  • Experience of supervising other staff
  • Experience of supervising undergraduate/work experience students.

  • Ability to travel between Kings Mill Hospital and Newark Hospital
  • To work flexibly depending on the needs of the service including evening and weekend working as required.
