Job summary
An opportunity has arisen to join our team, working as a band 5 dietitian within Sherwood Forest Hospital NHS Trust for a fixed term of 7 months.
This post will enable the successful candidate to consolidate and advance their skills and knowledge in a range of clinical areas, You will be part of the inpatient team based at Kings Mill hospital and will be expected to work with the service to predominantly support the provision of nutritional support. You will have your own caseload, which will also include supporting outpatient services.
Applicants need to be registered dietitians, with excellent communication skills and a flexible approach.
We have close links with the University of Nottingham and Sheffield and take student dietitians for placements.
Main duties of the job
- You will be joining the Dietetic team, to help deliver a service to a range of adult wards including medicine, and surgery.
- You will deliver regular outpatient clinics
- be involved with departmental initiatives, e.g. training of nutrition champions
- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Participates in the review of dietetic information and resources
- Be involved with student training
