Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within our therapy team at Newark Hospital as we further develop our services and local pathways into 2024.

This post will be based on Minster Ward, with a diverse case load of orthopaedic day case and elective hip and knee surgery, committed to enhanced recovery and great outcomes. There will be opportunity to take a lead role in the pre operative preparation of our patients, including group and clinic work.

If you are an experienced therapy assistant and ready for a new challenge to work with dynamic, innovative and forward thinking teams then this could be the job for you.

Qualifications

Essential

  • NVQ Level III in Care "Diagnostic and Therapeutic Support" award (or equivalent qualification) and substantial experience as a therapy assistant

Further Training

  • Counselling skills
  • Teaching in a group setting
  • Hydrotherapy course

Experience

Essential

  • Substantial experience as a therapy assistant
  • Evidence of CPD/IST

Contractual

  • Able to work flexibly including weekends
