During this time, you will have the opportunity to develop your line management and appraisal skills, either by supervising a band 6 pharmacist or acting as a tutor for a trainee pharmacist. Your management skills will further develop with opportunities to review and update procedures and worksheets within the unit, with a focus on safety and accuracy.
You will also collaborate closely with the High-Cost Drugs team to help manage the introduction of any new chemotherapy or monoclonal antibodies. This may involve presenting information on new agents to the Trust Drugs and Therapeutics Committee.
