Job summary

As People Lead (People Lead (Organisational Development, Equality Diversity and Inclusivity and Wellbeing) will lead a team of 7 providing specialist advice on :

  • The Trust's Organisational improvement and development programme, which is underpinned by the Trust CARE values and People Strategy
  • To lead on key priorities in line with the Trust People Strategy.
  • Trust-wide colleague engagement and network initiatives.
  • Organisational Development (OD) interventions and development initiatives
  • The Trust's coordination and response to the National Staff Survey and quarterly Pulse Checks and other Cultural Insights.
  • To lead both the Wellbeing, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion agenda
  • To be involved, lead and support system wide network, and engagement initiatives.

The People Lead (OD, EDI and Wellbeing) will continuously develop engaging approaches and methodologies that underpin the creation and sustainability promoting colleagues to live our Trust values and ultimately contributes to the Trust being 'a great place to work' and a safe place to receive care.

Main duties of the job

The People Lead (OD, EDI and Wellbeing) will be accountable for the successful delivery of the People Wellbeing and Belonging portfolio and specific Organisational Development programs across the Trust.

The post holder will be required to actively engage and contribute to the strategic planning and workforce performance of the Trust to achieve the overall goals for patient care. You will be required to lead and maintain organisational development programmes of work. This includes the development of standardised tools and techniques and reporting mechanisms and to lead and promote the Equality and Wellbeing agendas and have oversight on NHS national reporting in relation to these 2 areas. The post holder will work with a high degree of autonomy , provide advice to senior colleagues and to take decisions that carefully balance different perspectives and often relate to sensitive and / or contentious information and manage relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners in the wider system.
