Job summary

In collaboration with Dementia UK, Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is looking to recruit an exceptional registered nurse with a passion for, and experience in, providing relationship-centered dementia care to join our team as an Admiral Nurse.

Admiral Nurses are specialist dementia nurses who work with and support people with dementia and their families. As the Band 7 Admiral Nurse, you will be based at Kings Mill Hospital and work within the wider dementia team to influence, deliver, and coordinate relationship-centered dementia care within the hospital settings, including Newark Hospital and Mansfield Community Hospital.

As an Admiral Nurse, you will provide specialist one-to-one support, guidance, and practical solutions for families, while also supporting best practices and providing role modeling within Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. You will also have the opportunity to influence and lead on the delivery of workstreams that improve the experience of care for people living with dementia and their families throughout their hospital stay and across care transitions.
