Exciting Opportunity for Advanced Clinical Practitioners in Urgent Care!
Join our dynamic Urgent Care Team at Newark Hospital, part of the prestigious Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS, and take your career to the next level. We are currently seeking experienced and qualified practitioners who are ready to make a real impact.
If you're a passionate professional with a deep interest in Urgent Care, specifically in dealing with Minor Injuries, Minor Illnesses, and the management of Acute presentations, this role is tailor-made for you.
We welcome both Adult and Paediatric presentations to our state-of-the-art Urgent Care Centre (UCC). As a registered professional with a Masters in Advanced Clinical Practice, you will bring with you a wealth of clinical experience. Your expertise will be crucial in assessing, treating, and managing a diverse caseload of patients in need of urgent care.
The successful applicant must:
- Have considerable, demonstrable experience in an emergency care setting
- Be clinically competent to manage Adult and Paediatric presentations across the spectrum of illness to injury.
- Hold an MSc qualification in Advanced Clinical Practice including anon-medical prescribing qualification.
- Hold a teaching qualification
- Hold relevant qualifications in Minor Illness and Minor Injuries.
- Be an ALS and EPALS provider and hold a relevant Trauma Qualification. The UEC Division has recently been rated as outstanding for 'well lead' in a recent CQC visit.

- Possess a broad and advanced knowledge of clinical pathophysiology
- Has a sound level of knowledge in relation to invasive and non invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
- Ability to take a full systematic focused history
- Ability to make a diagnosis based on interpretation of imaging and pathology results
- Has the knowledge to support safe clinical decision making in relation to discharge
- Excellent communication skills with clear written and oral skills.

- Clinical governance knowledge

- Mentor/teaching qualification
