An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and committed individual to join the ENT team at King's Mill Hospital, part of Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
You will be employed by the Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and will be based at King's Mill Hospital where you will be part of a team providing clinical services to the Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and surrounding population of 500,000.
Main duties of the job
A whole time (10 PA) Consultant in Otolaryngology for Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, based at the King's Mill Hospital, Sutton in Ashfield, Nottinghamshire, is required. The post will involve benign Head and Neck and thyroid surgery.
The appointee will join an established successful Head & Neck and Thyroid practice supported by 2 visiting Head & Neck surgeons from Nottingham University Hospitals (NUH) providing a comprehensive service to the western part of North Nottinghamshire and, in particular, the residents of Mansfield, Ashfield and Newark Districts. This is an enthusiastic department with all Consultants providing general ENT services with specialist interests. The post holder will demonstrate a wide range of skills and will be asked to work flexibly within the department.
The successful candidate will be expected to be aware of local policies and procedures and comply with the standing orders and standing financial instructions of this Trust. In particular, where the Consultant manages employees of the Trust, they will be expected to observe local employment and personnel policies and procedures.
