Responsibilities:

  • Raise requisitions/orders for 'stock' and 'non-stock' goods/services.
  • Collaborate with internal staff and external suppliers on supply, stock management, and deliveries.
  • Generate stock reports and offer flexible support where needed.
  • Work in various locations across the Theatre complex and cross-site.

Knowledge

Essential

  • Demonstrable experience of working effectively within a team in stores, stock control or purchasing
  • Proven experience of working with P2P systems and relevant e-replenishment systems
  • Demonstrable experience and knowledge in using Microsoft office including but not limited to Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Awareness of the importance of Health and Safety relating to work and the need for Confidentiality in a hospital setting

Desirable

  • Experienced with the use of E- Procurement and NHS logistics systems.
  • Experience of working within a clinical setting.

Qualifications

Essential

  • GCSE or equivalent in Mathematics & English, Grade C or above

Desirable

  • NVQ Level 3/Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply (CIPs) foundation stage or equivalent experience

Further Training

Essential

  • Good understanding of change management
  • Use of IT systems (e.g. Word , Excel, Outlook) - standard keyboard skills
  • Understanding of the NHS and current agenda
  • Demonstrable knowledge of service improvements and project management
  • Risk management and governance
  • Knowledge of stock management systems procedures
