Job summary

We are delighted to be able to offer an opportunity for an experienced Temporary Staffing Lead to join our friendly, high performing team.

We're looking for a driven, enthusiastic and astute individual to lead our busy Temporary Staffing Team. Self-motivated and flexible, you'll have the ability to deliver an outstanding service to both colleagues and managers through sound stakeholder management, applying logic and driving proactive decisions to ensure the provision of a comprehensive and effective Temporary Staffing service. What's more, you'll have the confidence and flair to develop your team on both system and process, ensuring optimum use of resources in order to meet our departmental performance measures.

Knowledge Requirements

Essential

  • Knowledge & experience of operating an E-Rostering System
  • Knowledge of workforce issues and shift patterns in the NHS
  • Knowledge of Agency/Temporary workers processes/requirements
  • Knowledge of key operational issues such as EWTD, Agenda for Change, Temporary Staffing & ESR Integration
  • IG Training

Desirable

  • Knowledge of The NHS People Plan
  • Experience of Allocate systems
  • An understanding of the activities of an Acute hospital and the importance of the timely supply of staff
  • Knowledge of project management principles and practices

Qualifications-Academic/ Craft/ Professional

Essential

  • Relevant Degree or equivalent experience within a Temporary Staffing Function

Desirable

  • Lean or six sigma certification
  • Prince 2 or other project management qualification
  • Management qualification

Experience/Skills

Essential

  • Significant managerial knowledge and experience of line managing teams
  • Significant experience of providing and managing a customer service provision
  • Evidence of successfully implementing change management
  • Significant experience of performance management
  • Significant experience of managing a service delivery environment
  • Experience of agency booking management and agency liaison
  • Demonstrable experience of Conflict Resolution
  • Evidence in using analytical skills to interpret complex data
  • Evidence of managing teams through change
  • Strong customer service ethos
  • Demonstrable relationship management skills
  • Demonstrable experience of being able to plan and prioritise work within a pressurised operational environment
  • Highly developed organisational skills
  • Ability to breakdown work activity and revise and develop standard operating procedures
