Job summary

We are looking to recruit a full time Nursery Nurse, qualified to level 3.

Little Millers Day Nursery is onsite at Kings Mill Hospital caring for children from 6 weeks- 5years old. The nursery is open Monday - Friday and the post holder would be required to work a varied shift pattern within the nursery opening hours of 7.30am-5.30pm.

Main duties of the job

To provide high quality care and learning for the children who attend the nursery, planning engaging activities to support the children's learning journey to help them achieve their full potential.

Developing strong professional relationships with parents/cares. Supporting children with their daily care needs, supporting the development of the nursery.

Essential

Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage Practice Guidance / Statutory Framework.
Safe Guarding Children policy and procedure.

Qualifications Academic/ Craft/ Professional

Essential

NVQ 3 in Childcare & Education, or equivalent and experience (see experience)

Further Training

Essential

A commitment to undergo ongoing professional development

Desirable

Basic Food Hygiene to be completed within 6 months
Paediatric First Aid to be completed within 6 months

Experience

Essential

Two years experience of working within a childcare setting
