Job summary
We are looking for an experienced Paediatric Physiotherapist Team Lead with excellent communication and team working skills to cover a 12 month maternity cover. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a small team of specialist therapists. You will be involved in delivering high quality Physiotherapy care to paediatric patients with a wide variety of conditions at Kings Mill Hospital in an outpatient and inpatient setting.

- Highly specialist knowledge of acute paediatric respiratory and orthopaedic physiotherapy underpinned by theory and postgraduate courses.
- A highly developed knowledge and ability to meet the standards and expected criteria for this therapy service
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Leadership skills
- Supervisory skills
- Able to work within a team independently
- Ability to pass on skills and knowledge to others
- Ability to organise, prioritise and delegate
- Ability to lead change and is able to demonstrate implementation of new ways of working within a team
- Effective communication skills - oral and written
- Ability to keep accurate and legible patient records
- Able to provide and receive complex and /or sensitive information
- Remain updated with professional practice and new research
- Knowledge of clinical governance and its application to therapy
- Experience of Audit.
- Ability to teach and pass on knowledge.
- Experience of service evaluation and standard setting
- A broad understanding of the current local and national issues impacting on the Trust and service provision.
- Modernisation Agenda for the NHS re new ways of working
