Main duties of the job
In conjunction with the Medical Director and acting as a direct report, the Deputy Medical Director will be responsible for helping to deliver the Medical Director's office extensive portfolio.
This will include but not be limited to providing visible professional medical leadership across the whole of Sherwood Forest Hospitals and providing support to the Divisional Chairs, Divisional Triumvirate and the Heads of Service in matters relevant to promoting a strong patient safety, patient experience and quality agenda whilst ensuring the best use of scare resources.
The role will include guiding the Medical Directors office in strategic and operational decision making, Board and sub-Board level deputisation and chairing various committees.
The successful candidate will help deliver the ambitious SFH Digital strategy programme and will work closely with the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Nurse to provide strong medical leadership and direction to facilitate all aspects of operational patient flow.

- Senior Substantive clinical leader with at least 5 years' clinical experience post CCT or equivalent
- Full Registration with GMC without any conditions or restrictions on licence to practise

- Master's degree or equivalent in clinical leadership
