Are you already working in a band 6 role and fancy a change or are you an experienced band 5 dietitian looking to progress into your first band 6 post? Then, please get in touch.
We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic dietitian with excellent communication and team working skills. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team of dedicated and supportive acute dietitians. You will be involved in delivering high quality care to complex patients across a variety of specialities including stroke, respiratory, general care of the elderly, surgery, and gastroenterology. Therefore, experience of enteral feeding and different feeding routes is highly desired. You will be actively involved in development of patient care practices and student training.
Main duties of the job
Able to work within a team, demonstrate initiative, confidence and excellent time management and organisational skills
Manage a caseload of patients independently
Be a key member of the MDT's and board rounds providing integrated dietetic care
Be involved in clinical supervision of the band 5 dietitians and dietetic assistant
Represent dietitians at complex case reviews
Promote dietetics and the role of dietitians within the Trust
Be responsible for support and management of dietetic students from Nottingham and Sheffield Universities
Be involved in provision and education of healthcare staff and patients

- Qualified Dietitian (4 year degree, post-graduate diploma or equivalent).
- Evidence of continuing professional development
- Registered with the Health Professions Council
Desirable
- Relevant validated course
- Member of BDA including specialist group.

- Excellent verbal, non-verbal and written communication skills including explaining, negotiating, motivating and training.
