About us

Thank you for your interest in this role

Sherwood is nationally recognised as being an excellent place to work and deliver care and have ranked as the best NHS Trust to work for in the Midlands in a recent survey. We are rightly proud of the 5,500 colleagues who work for the organisation and we were the Health Service Journals Trust of the Year in 2020.

The Care Quality Commission rated King's Mill Hospital Outstanding and Newark and Mansfield Community Hospitals as Good. Overall we were rated Outstanding for care.

Trust Pharmacy services are centred in a modern, state of the art hospital on the King's Mill site, which provides excellent facilities for patients and staff. Our modern dispensary and stores are automated and allow supply of medicines via remote connection. Our ethos over recent years has been to provide Pharmacy services close to patients and make the best use of the skills of our staff. To this end most of our wards have a Medicines Management Technician service that concentrates on medicine supply so allowing the clinical Pharmacists to focus on patient safety and optimising treatment.

We would love for you to come and join us.
