Locum Consultant in Paediatric Emergency Medicine

Job summary
This is a Locum Consultant post. The remit of the postholder will be to work within the multi-disciplinary team providing and further developing care for all patients in the Paediatric Emergency Department at Denmark Hill. They will take part in the PED out of hours rota. In addition, the individual will be required to play an active role in the general workload of the Care Group while having a significant commitment to teaching and training of junior staff.
Main duties of the job
The post will be based at Denmark Hill and the proposed Job Plan (up to 9 PAs) is attached. This is subject to review within 3 months of the postholder commencing in post.
The post holder will undertake approximately up to three out of hours shift a week, in the evening or at the weekend but currently no on-call overnight commitment as this will be delivered by the adult ED and General Paediatric Consultants. There is an EM consultant on the shop floor until midnight every day.
