Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Clinical Fellow (ST5-7) to replace a current gap in service provision for twelve months. The remit of the post holder will be to work within the multi-disciplinary team providing and further developing care for women in Maternity & Gynaecology. In addition, the individual will be required to play an active role in the general workload of the department.

Main duties of the job

Together with the others to provide Maternity & gynaecology services for women attending Kings College Hospital. This includes all aspects of treatment and relevant management duties required for the proper functioning of the department.

Shared responsibility with the others for providing 24 hour, 7 day a week cover for the obstetrics & gynaecology on an on-call rota basis. Responsible also for covering colleague's periods of annual leave and short-term sickness/absence.

To contribute to departmental audit programme in accordance with the Trust's R&D framework.

To be aware of, and comply with, all Trust infection prevention and control policies, to include hand hygiene, personal hygiene, environmental and food hygiene. To undertake annual training/updates in infection prevention and control.

To prepare for and undertake the protective interventions that you are responsible for in a manner that is consistent with evidence based practice and maintaining patient safety.
