Job summary
An opportunity as arisen for a senior midwife with extensive clinical experience to consider applying for a consultant midwife role leading on choice and personalisation, patient experience as part of maternity transformation. The post line managed by director of midwifery and working closely with site Head of Midwifery for Women's care group, Consultants and senior staff to develop a Maternity service that is responsive to the diversity and varied needs of families in our care. As a senior midwife the post holder will support staff in operational aspects of birth planning, providing guidance and support.The key element of the role is to work alongside research team, participate in PSIRF and learning program across the service as well as learning from complaint's investigation process. The post holder has an active role in Southeast London Local and maternity/neonatal system representing KCH, leading on identified work streams and antenatal education. Thepost holder is expected to work clinically 50% of the time covering both Denmark hill and Princess royal university hospital Orpington.The requirement of the role is to lead on any action plan to improve all aspects of patient experience that emerge from CQC maternity survey, complaints and local feedback.On appointment a job plan will be agreed to fulfil four principal role functions.
