Clinical Research Fellow in Renal Medicine
Fixed term: 12 Months - Full time - 40 hours per week
The post holder will contribute to the safe and effective delivery of clinical research studies within the Clinical Research Facility. The role will particularly focus on the recruitment, support, and engagement of people of African and/or Afro-Caribbean ancestry, with and without kidney disease, to ensure inclusive participation in clinical trials.
Main duties of the job
The post requires excellent communication skills, cultural competence, and the ability to build trust with diverse patient groups. The doctor will be responsible for conducting and overseeing clinical assessments in line with study protocols, ensuring ethical practice and compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
Success in the role will be measured by adherence to study protocols, contribution to participant safety and wellbeing, and the achievement of recruitment and study targets. Phlebotomy skills are desirable but not essential.
