Research Assistant

The closing date is 15 September 2025

Job summary

The post will be based at the Denmark Hill site within the department of HIV and Sexual Health and Dermatology based within Research Delivery Unit 7 (RDU 7). The post holder will be responsible for supporting clinical trials and observational research studies delivered by the well-established Research team in HIV, sexual health and Dermatology. The post holder will need to be able to work as part of a team and autonomously, providing support to the research nurses and trial co-ordinators as required.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be expected to assist the research team in providing general governance and administrative support, data entry and record keeping for any projects where suitably delegated. This includes but is not limited to the preparation of study visits, monitoring visits, to maintain systems and ensure study documentation is up to date, with the support of the research team. Experience in research governance and GCP is helpful but not essential as training will be provided.

The post holder will be expected to support recruitment to non-interventional studies and carry out study related procedures on several non-interventional studies, under the direct supervision of the Research manager. The ability to work autonomously is important and we welcome innovation to develop and implement new systems with consultation in this role.
