Department of Radiology, Sub-specialty Senior Clinical Fellow in Radiology
Applications are invited for this fixed term post in the following radiology subspecialty:
- Paediatric radiology
- Cardiac/thoracic radiology
- Hepatobiliary radiology (diagnostic)
- Uroradiology (diagnostic)
- Haematology/oncology radiology
- Nuclear Medicine
- Neuroradiology
- Breast Radiology
- Interventional radiology (hepatobiliary/urological/vascular)
- Acute care radiology
with acute imaging at the clinical radiology department based at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. This post is tailored for applicants aiming to gain focused sub-speciality experience to support preparation for a future consultant role.
Main duties of the job
To be considered applicants must meet the essential criteria stated in the job description and have:
- Completed Specialty Registrar training (CCT) in Radiology or equivalent and,
- hold full FRCR (part 1 and part 2a and 2b) prior to commencing the post and,
- full registration with a Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council at the time of application.

In addition, the individual will to play an active role in the general workload of the imaging departments and will participate in the out-of-hours evening and weekend shift rota.

- Wide experience in all aspects of general, culminating in award of Certificate of completion of training (CCT) or equivalent.
- Knowledge/experience of radiology emergencies
- Competent to work, reporting of on-call CT and ultrasound without direct supervision where appropriate
- Experience and ability to work in multi-professional teams in the Health Service
- Experience in day-to-day organisation of radiology services in a busy Acute Hospital
Desirable
- Demonstrates breadth of experience and awareness in and outside specialty

- Effective communicator, able to work in a close-knit team and co-operate with all medical and paramedical staff.
- Flexible and resilient.
