Highly Specialist Practitioner Psychologist
The closing date is 31 August 2025
Job summary
We are pleased to offer a 12-month fixed term maternity leave cover opportunity (we would also consider a secondment) for a Highly Specialist Practitioner Psychologist to join the psychosocial team within the Department of Critical Care at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
This role would suit an existing 8a psychologist (looking to develop and enhance their skills working within a trauma-informed approach in a critical care environment) or an enthusiastic and capable band 7 psychologist (looking to progress to an 8a role in an exciting area of clinical practice). The role will provide an excellent opportunity to contribute to an innovative model of psycho-social care that has demonstrated strong outcomes since its inception.
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering integrated care that brings together the physical, psychological, and social dimensions of treatment to improve patient outcomes and service value. You will be joining a friendly, forward-thinking team - working directly alongside colleagues from both the psychiatric and social care professionals - serving a diverse inner-city population with an unparalleled case mix.
