A unique opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic senior clinical pharmacist with excellent communication, vision, organisational and leadership skills to join the Womens and Childrens Pharmacy Team at King's College Hospital.
The successful post holder will work as part of a dedicated pharmacy team to lead, provide and develop specialist clinical pharmacy services to expand paediatric care closer to home and at home across our sites.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will join a specialist pharmacy team to lead and develop clinical pharmacy services, expanding paediatric care at home and across sites. Supporting the Principal Pharmacist for Women's and Children's services, they will coordinate between wards, departments, and pharmacy to meet Care Group needs.
Key duties include deputising for the Principal Pharmacist, acting as a paediatric specialist and independent prescriber, leading service development, participating in outpatient clinics and ward rounds, ensuring safe drug use, providing education and training, managing budgets, and supporting clinical research. They will also supervise staff and promote integrated, patient-centred pharmaceutical care.
This role involves delivering a clinical pharmacy service at an Advanced level, as defined in the RPS Core Advanced Pharmacist Curriculum.

Provide patient and carer education and close liaison across the interface.
Promote safe drug use within the Paediatric specialties.
Development, implementation and audit of local guidelines.

Regular financial reporting, drug usage and expenditure forecasting, and drug budget management.
