Job summary
As a registered nurse on the Victoria and Albert Ward, you will be caring for cardiovascular patients and working with the multidisciplinary team (MDT) to provide high-quality care. We are an enthusiastic group with a strong team spirit, united by a common goal. We are looking for an experienced nursing with significantexperience in an acute hospital setting.
You will be responsible for delivering person-centred nursing care, ensuring our patients have a positive experience during their stay with us.
We are supported by an energetic Practice Development Nurse (PDN) team that promotes continuous career development. We offer a robust education plan and a variety of courses to support staff growth.
The Victoria and Albert Ward works closely with the Victoria and Albert High Dependency Unit (HDU) and the Cardiac Recovery Unit.
Main duties of the job
- Be a safe and effective practitioner, able to provide high-quality nursing care to patients and appropriate support to relatives.
- Work with guidance within a multidisciplinary team to provide continuous care to a designated group of patients from admission to discharge.
- Supervise and support junior staff and learners, as appropriate.
- Maintain personal professional development with appropriate support.
