Job summary
Princess Royal University Hospital (PRUH) is a busy DGH and is part of King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
The Department of Clinical Radiology at the PRUH is seeking to appoint new proactive, compassionate and committed colleagues to share in the challenge of providing patient centred acute and specialist care. The department offers a broad range of sub-specialist opportunities such as the ongoing development within interventional radiology as well as specialist areas within head and neck, cardiothoracic, gastrointestinal and acute radiology.
The department is looking for a substantive Consultant Interventionist Radiologist. A specialist interest in gynaecological imaging is also desirable. There is an expectation for cross-site working to support Interventional Radiology at the Denmark Hill site.
Main duties of the job
The post is for 10 PAs per week, which includes at least 1.0 PAs for SPA time. You must be fully registered with the GMC and hold Licence to Practice and be on the Specialist Register, or within six months of attaining your CCT or equivalent at interview stage. On-call commitment will be aiming for 1:16, and CT scans are outsourced to a tele-radiology company over night on weekdays and throughout the weekend. Weekend on calls involves at least 3 hours onsite DCC each day to predominantly cover the acute ultrasound work.
