Job summary
We are looking for a highly motivated, compassionate and caring individual to join our multidisciplinary team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust based in the Cardiac Outpatients Department (Suite 6).
As a Senior HCA, you will be a hugely valuable in supporting our nursing team providing care to our patients. You must be caring, reliable and able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure a safe, positive patient experience. You must have effective communication skills, be flexible and be able to adapt to changing demands and priorities.
The role advertised is for part time post for 22.5 hours, spread over 3 days per week.

Main duties of the job
- Effectively communicate with patients and carers in the outpatients department, timely delivery of information.
- Ensure smooth transition for patients in department who require tests and appointments.
- Support and care to patients who have additional needs (personal care).
- Perform 12 lead ECG (training will be provided).
- Perform venapunture (training will be provided).
- Cleaning of all equipment and clinic rooms between patients.
- Restocking of equipment and consumables.
- Assisting Doctors, Clinical Nurse Specialist, and Allied Health
- Professionals, in delivery of patient care.
- Effective use of patient electronic records.
- Effective setting up and maintaining of patient related facilities.
- Reporting of faulty equipment where appropriate.
- Keeping up to date with all mandatory training.
- Assisting patients who addend the department using hospital transport.
- Act as role model.
- Support junior staff.
