As a registered nurse Band 5, you will work within our surgical nursing team to deliver high standards of patient care.We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic individual who is passionate about surgical nursingSurgical ward 3 is a 20-bedded female surgical ward caring for acute and elective surgical patients.
This ward specialises in gynaecology and general surgery. The patients are admitted from Emergency Department, clinics, theatre, ITU and other surgical wards. The environment is highly acute and challenging but has a lot of scope to learn and assist your knowledge to progress to other speciality posts.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will form part of the team to lead on the delivery of high-quality evidence based care for both patients and their families and carers. The post holder will be required to work closely with the Ward Manager and integrated multi-disciplinary team. The post holder will also be an excellent clinical role model and mentor facilitating the development of junior staff and student nurses.
We aim to deliver a high standard of clinical care with seven day senior nurse coverage. The post holder must be equipped to give high quality care, use specialist surgical knowledge and prioritise workload.
You must have excellent customer care, communication and interpersonal skills, flexible and able to adapt to and support change in this growing and developing environment. You will participate in the national and local audits used to identify ways we can maintain and improve the care we offer our patients. Ensuring good standards of care for the patient are maintained at all times. Adhering to NMC Code of Professional conduct at all times.
