Clinical Nurse Specialist- Paediatric Allergy and Asthma

Job summary

A unique opportunity has arisen for an experienced Band 7 nurse to join the Paediatric Asthma and Allergy service at the Princess Royal University Hospital. This new and exciting role will challenge both your clinical and leadership skills and provide the opportunity for you to gain differing experience in this rewarding environment.

Main duties of the job

As a clinical nurse specialist you will co-ordinate inpatient and outpatient care of paediatric patients with allergy /asthma aged 0-16yrs from the local population. You will be involved in providing supportive care to children during acute admissions and during outpatient appointments. You will work closely with members of the MDT. Teaching and training is an integral component of this role both to staff, families and children.

This role is essential in supporting patients and families from diagnosis and ongoing care and management of allergy and asthma. You will be required to assist in nurse led clinics and supporting GP's and schools.
