Job summary

The post holder will be responsible for the Performance Systems/Data Warehouse function, Business Intelligence and reporting development function that operates across the Trust. The post holder will ensure that these teams provide a high quality and responsive service in support of the Trust's clinical, operational and strategic objectives by meeting its rapidly growing and changing information needs. This includes the management and development of complex information and business intelligence systems providing critical information, both internally for use in the Trust's performance management framework and planning processes, and external statutory reporting to NHSI/NHS England and the Trust's Commissioners.

Main duties of the job

Provision of Management Information: Ensuring that accurate and timely management information is available to support decision-making processes.Business Systems Management and Report Development: Overseeing the development and maintenance of business intelligence systems and reports.Performance Management: Monitoring and analysing performance data to drive improvements across the Trust.Data Quality and Assurance:Ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of data.Staff Management and Development: Leading and developing a team of management information specialists, including recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies.Stakeholder Engagement:Collaborating with stakeholders to translate business requirements into actionable data solutions.Compliance and Governance: Ensuring compliance with data quality standards, governance, and statutory reporting requirements.

The post holder will provide input into non-BIU system developments, promote management information and data quality agendas through appropriate Trust forums and communication channels, and ensure that training also supports those agendas. The post holder will be responsible for ensuring that the accuracy and completeness of all national and mandatory reporting requirements are met.

The post holder will be instrumental in ensuring the success of the Trusts strategy to bring all Information functions into one corporate business intelligence team.

  • Masters level or equivalent experience in an informatics role
  • Management qualification

Desirable

  • Project Management Qualification
  • Industry qualification in analysis

Knowledge and experience

  • Track record of performance management
  • Substantial experience in managing teams
  • NHS data literate with ability to translate
  • Excellent understanding of NHS Performance requirements
  • Evidence of continual personal development

  • Experience with EPIC and it's reporting tools
