Job summary
King's College Hospital (PRUH site) is looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Band 7 team leader for the Beacon traditional community team. This is a 12 month fixed term Band 7 post basedat the Beckenham Beacon hub.
This is a full time role with a mix of clinical andmanagerial duties. The post holder must be passionate to lead change and support on projects to improve safety and experience.
The managerial element of this role includes ensuring appropriate staffing levels within the team, involvement in risk management investigations, managing complaints and HR processes such as sickness management and appraisals.
This is a dynamic role with potential for personal and professional development which will require a person who can demonstrate performing as a positive role model.
The post holder will have relevant experience, be an excellent communicator and educator, have good organisational and IT skills and the ability to respond calmly in stressful situations.

Main duties of the job
- Exercise leadership within the area of responsibility and be able to co-ordinate a team of midwives and provide clinical expertise within community midwifery services.
- Implement the King's College Hospital NHS Trust Women's Services procedures and policies.
- Follow midwifery / obstetric protocols where appropriate and liaise with medical staff in the implementation of client care.
- Monitor staff sickness.
- Respond to service user feedback and complaints.
