An excellent opportunity has arisen for an interested candidate to become a clinical fellow in Urogynaecology (ST3-5) at Kings College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust on the Denmark Hill site. Supervision will be undertaken by Mr Robinson and the team. The exact timetable will depend upon the requirements of the successful applicant and the post will be for one year extendable to two.

The Clinical Fellow would be expected to join in with the current Research Fellow and subspecialty trainee in providing a secondary and tertiary service for women attending King's with disorders of the lower urinary tract and pelvic floor. He/ She would be expected to teach other HCP's, as well as undergraduate medical students and postgraduate doctors. There would be time for research and the successful applicant would be encouraged to work towards a higher degree. The successful candidate will be part of the registrar on-call rota.

Monday am Urogynaecology Clinic / Labour ward on call

pm Research + MDT / labour ward on call

Tuesday am Urodynamics

Wednesday am Research

Thursday am Urogynaecology Clinic

pm Urodynamics / Academic Meeting

Friday am Research / Urodynamics

pm Urodynamics

Ad hoc flexible cystoscopy and laser clinics may also be undertaken

In addition the post holder will have to participate in the on-call rota for obstetrics and gynaecology at either Senior Registrar level [ST6-7] or Registrar level [ST4-5] which is a one in 10 rota for nights and weekends along with a whole day each fortnight on call.

The successful applicant would be encouraged to undertake research suitable for presentation at international scientific meetings and publication in good peer review journals and to submit a thesis for a higher degree if appropriate.
