Job summary
An opportunity has become available for a Clinical Psychologist to join our specialist Rapid Assessment and Acute Rehabilitation (RAAR) team.
In this role, you will conduct in-depth neuropsychological assessments and provide evidence-based interventions to support adult inpatient recovery and rehabilitation. Key responsibilities include:
- Utilising your expertise to evaluate patients and guide individualised treatment plans.
- Offering prompt consultations and recommendations to the RAAR multidisciplinary team to optimise patient care.
- Providing clinical supervision and training to develop staff skills in rehabilitation care.
- Leading audits, research, and service improvement initiatives to advance care standards.
- Liaising with families, carers, and external agencies to facilitate coordinated care planning.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will be part of the Neuropsychology provision within the newly established Rapid Assessment and Acute Rehabilitation (RAAR) service. The post holder will also be part of a multi-disciplinary team who works together to set and implement goals relating to patient management, and also discharge planning and consideration of capacity and consent.
The post holder will be part of the Neuropsychology Department in King's College Hospital, which incorporates 13.5 (wte) clinical neuropsychologists. The department is an active group which meets regularly for peer support, teaching and training, with wider links to other King's Health Partners.
The post holder will have a responsibility of providing more widely expertise and advice relating to clinical neuropsychological rehabilitation within King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
