Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic, experienced and motivated band 5 staff nurses to join the Princess Royal University Hospital Emergency Department team. You must be a registered Nurse with relevant acute care experience.
We are committed to developing our staff and have a dedicated Clinical Practice Facilitator, Practice Development Nurse and a team of Senior Sisters to support you in the department. There is also the opportunity for staff to access our onsite corporate Practice Development Nurse who offers ongoing support in terms of professional growth and development. We provide care to patients from a diverse population and believe that the diversity of the local population is reflected in our staff and our recruitment strategy.

We are seeking to recruit staff nurses who are flexible, enthusiastic and passionate about emergency care. Candidates must be highly motivated with good communication skills and possess the ability to work as part of a team in a challenging environment.
The post holder must be an RN (1) and is therefore bound by the NMC Code of Professional Conduct for Nurses, Midwives and Health Visitors.
Main duties of the job
To work with support, within a multi-disciplinary team to provide continuing care to a specified group of patients from admission to discharge.
To supervise and teach junior members of staff and learners as appropriate.
To maintain own personal development with support.
To be a safe and effective practitioner able to provide high quality nursing care to patients and support to relatives.
Particular emphasis at King's is on the need to ensure that all staff recognise their responsibility to deliver services in a high quality, courteous, patient focused manner maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
