Job summary
We are currently looking for a dynamic, motivated senior education lead to ensure the smooth running, progress and evolution of the Kings Academy. The King's Academy is a new education facility at Hinton road near Kings College hospital. This is an exciting role for a senior nurse, midwife or AHP, the successful candidate with be responsible for managing, developing, and expanding an offering of education courses and activity with the clinical specialists.
The postholder will be required to practice at an advanced level, capable of delivering all aspects of education including design, set-up, quality assurance, management, financial management and recruitment/delivery. The postholder will require extensive experience leading trust education or practice development and working with HEI's and education partners as a lecturer practitioner.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will be the lead for King's Academy course development and will ensure the delivery of outstanding education and training packages to both internal and external staff. This role will be responsible for the maintenance and development of high-quality education for nursing, midwifery and AHP staff ensuring all regulatory standards are met.
The post holder will be an experienced, motivated individual with considerable experience in education at a senior level in a large, complex healthcare organisation and higher educational institution. This role will also need to provide strong, professional, and empowering leadership to the whole workforce across the Trust in relation to the content provided by the Academy.
The post holder will be responsible for integrating, coordinating, and assuring systems and processes are in place in relation to the quality of education delivered.
The post holder will report to the Associate Director Nursing for Education and must be able to demonstrate significant experience in managing non-medical education both pre and post registration, to include experience of developing training programmes, teaching, managing budgets, income generation and expenditure for the academy while supporting with other finance streams and will need to be visionary, ensuring there is a culture for continuous improvement in the Academy.

- Meet required education regulatory, compliance and Trust standards.
- Responsible for the provision, delivery, evaluation and quality assurance of a portfolio of high-quality education and training, including the clinical non-registered workforce.
- Provide expert educational delivery and professional knowledge, of complex educational funding and programmes/pathways of care.
- Work closely with the Chief Nurse and Deputy Chief Nurse on planned changes to nursing, midwifery and AHP education including new roles, training required, funding arrangements, regulatory requirements and the implications for service delivery, including recruitment and retention of the workforce.
- To be the Trust named Lead for Kings Academy working closely with the Deputy Chief Nurse, ADoN for Education and external partners.
- To analyse and interpret highly complex information and demonstrate a high level of attention to detail by providing comprehensive reports for the Board of Directors and sub committees, Divisions and Corporate Teams that give clear information and guidance, and ensure adequate probity of the Trust in relation to Education.

- To be responsible for establishing a comprehensive system for ongoing monitoring, testing and governance of the requirements of HEE/ NHSE essential standards.
