Job summary

An opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Staff Nurses with or without acute experience to work within the Kings Renal unit at Darent Valley Hospital, in Dartford, Kent. This post is for a staff who is interested in pursuing and developing a career within Renal dialysis nursing.

This includes providing specialist services to patients across a wide catchment, and we are recognised nationally and internationally for our work in liver disease and transplantation, neurosciences, cardiac and haemato-oncology.

Main duties of the job

  1. To work with support, within a multi-disciplinary team to provide continuing care to a specified group of patients from admission to discharge.
  2. To supervise and teach junior members of staff and learners as appropriate.
  3. To maintain own personal development with support.
  4. To be a safe and effective practitioner able to provide high quality nursing care to patients and support to relatives.
