Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a hard-working and highly motivated Specialist Pharmacist, Patient Services to join the King's College Hospital Pharmacy Team based at the Princess Royal University Hospital (PRUH) site. The post holder will act as one of the Specialist Pharmacist for Patient Services across two hospital sites, DMK and PRUH.
If are a good communicator with a passion for pharmacy then this could be the job for you. You will provide clinical support and assist with the day to day running of the dispensary as well as working with the senior team on several new projects.
The Pharmacy department puts a strong emphasis on a learning environment and ensures that staff have the opportunity to develop skills and knowledge to their full potential and actively encourage the continuous professional development of every staff member.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide the professional leadership to ensure the safe and effective running of both dispensaries with the operational support from Dispensary Managers at each site.
Providing clinical support, training and mentoring to junior pharmacists on the STEP programme and trainee pharmacists during their Patient Services rotations.
- Act as the Clinical lead for Patient Services at the PRUH Site, including the in-house Outpatient pharmacy service
- Provide support to the clinical services team by participating in a the Outpatient screening rota
- Provide professional leadership to ensure the safe and effective running of the dispensary
- Lead on projects to help improve the operational services provided at both the DMK and PRUH sites.
