Job summary
To manage the medical induction at the PRUH site with support of the wider teamand direction from the Deputy Medical Education Manager. To support themedical inductions at Denmark Hill as and when needed.? To manage the Foundation programme on the PRUH site and to line manage thePGMDE Foundation Training Programme Administrator and PGMDEAdministrative Assistant on the PRUH site. ? To work cross-site with colleagues on the Denmark Hill site to ensure thatsystems are aligned where possible between the two sites.
Main duties of the job
Medical Induction
- To plan, implement and monitor administrative systems relating to themonthly medical inductions, ensuring the smooth running of the day andmaking recommendations for and implementing changes.
- This includes:Devise the Induction Programme and related induction materials.
- To ensure the Standard Operating Procedure document is keep up to date with teams at Denmark Hill
Local Induction
- To advise Divisions on local induction arrangements for medical & dental staff and monitor this through LEAP
- To ensure that local induction procedures and checklists are in place by local coordinator's, and that these are available upon request for auditing purposes
- To liaise with Specialty local coordinator's to ensure Local InductionHandbooks are up-to-date, keeping copies of Handbooks locally on PGMDE G:drive
Foundation Training Programme (FTP)
- Line management responsibility for the PGMDE Foundation TrainingProgramme Administrator
- Work with the relevant departments and external bodies to ensure thatFoundation Training Programme post information is maintained anddisseminated in a timely manner for recruitment.
- Ensure that the traineeallocations are managed and all relevant parties are informed.
- To work closely with the PGMDE Administrator (Undergraduates) to continue to strengthen and develop the link between undergraduate training and the Foundation Training Programme.

- Make appropriate arrangements for booking venues and ordering hospitalityEnsure the online induction course modules for Junior Doctors & Consultants are regularly updatedLiaise with medical reps to sponsor the 3 main inductions in August,September and October
- Reporting on induction attendance and reporting back to the divisions
- Monitoring online induction course compliance and reporting as necessary
- To manage the LEAP input of monthly Medical Inductions
- To take responsibility for the management of induction days including the 3 annual main induction days.
