Job summary

We are looking for passionate NMC Registered Nurses to join our supportive team on the Coronary Care Unit (CCU) at King's College Hospital. CCU is a fast-paced unit, with a high turnover, caring for level 2 Cardiac patients from within London and the Southeast. Our PAMI service is provided 24/7, 365 days a year. If you have a love of Cardiac, then this is the place for you. We have a team of PDN's which will facilitate training and development. As well as a team of band 6's and 5's who will be there to support you in your learning.

As a Registered Nurse you will be responsible for supporting your manager in ensuring that our service users' needs are met through the delivery of high-quality care. As a centre of excellence, you will offer a person-centred approach to their independence and well-being.

Main duties of the job

The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, understand acute nursing and be a team player. Effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential. We are committed to professional development and provide in-house and post graduate training, in addition to our own cardiology specific competencies that enable our nurses to demonstrate professional progression.

The successful candidate will ideally have 6 months experience and will gain experience caring for patients requiring Level 2 critical care support including CPAP, inotropic and intra-aortic balloon pump therapy. You must maintain a high standard of clinical work when carrying out nursing procedures.
