Job summary

Experience and Involvement Officer is a newly created post within the patient experience team to support our Experience and Involvement Leads with improving services for our patients and communities alongside developing our impact work and involvement activities.

Main duties of the job

  • To support patient and public involvement activities
  • To support establishing an impact function
  • To provide an efficient and comprehensive project and administrative support to the patient experience and involvement team in the planning and delivery of agreed projects, Key Performance Indicators and activities

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent learning/experience
  • Evidence of continued personal development

Desirable

  • Project Management Qualification or relevant experience
  • Master's degree in relevant subject/discipline

Knowledge and experience

Essential

  • Significant experience in an administrator or project management role providing a full spectrum of support duties
  • Significant experience of recruiting, training and supporting 'expert patients' or volunteers
  • Experience of working autonomously within a highly pressurised environment
  • Experience of organising events across a variety of platforms
  • Specialist knowledge of the public involvement agenda and relevant guidelines and legislation that underpin this
  • Extensive knowledge and experience of service evaluation methodologies including using and working with databases
  • Knowledge and understanding of Equality and Diversity legislation relating to public services
  • Significant experience of engaging with a wide range of key stakeholders both within and external to an organisation
