Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity in the new Telemetry Unit. As a band 6 nurse you will be expected to focus on the clinical leadership of the nursing team, actively supporting the Ward Manager in further developing the service and delivering a high standard of patient focused care.

You will be enthusiastic and motivated with demonstrable clinical experience relevant to the area. An appropriate post registration qualification and previous experience of leading a team is desirable but not essential. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential as is a relevant teaching qualification or equivalent experience.

Main duties of the job

The Telemetry unit at Kings College Hospital is a dedicated seven bedded unit operating on a 7 day basis. We care for patients requiring video EEG recording for the diagnosis and surgical treatment of complex epilepsy which includes care and support for patients following the implantation of intracranial electrodes. Patients are referred to us from across the United Kingdom and the Kings Telemetry unit is considered a national leader in the field of Epilepsy Surgery.
