JUNIOR CLINICAL FELLOW IN EMERGENCY MEDICINE (ST2 Level)

Working Full time: 40 hours per week.

This progressive Emergency Department is seeking well motivated, enthusiastic Doctors to join the team.

We are seeking candidates who are looking to further their experience in Emergency Medicine. The post is aimed at candidates with working clinical experience of the NHS.

Full-time 12-month posts however applications are welcomed from trainees seeking Less Than Full Time employment, or employment for part of the year.

Any successful candidate demonstrating an aptitude and dedication to the speciality will be actively supported to progress up to the Middle Grade tiers of the rota and beyond, either by entering Speciality Training programs or through CESR training pathways.

We are offering the opportunity to develop and hone your clinical skills in a busy Emergency Department that sees over 80,000 patients per year with guidance from the senior consultant and associate specialist team.

You will join the junior training grade doctor's rota that will involve working nights, lates, days and weekends - full details of the rota is available upon request.

Main duties of the job

Your role will be dedicated to the assessment, treatment and transfer/discharge of patients attending the Emergency Department. You will be supported by 24 hour middle grade cover. There is shop floor consultant cover form 8 a.m. to 12 midnight Monday to Sunday. Non-resident Consultant on-call cover is provided for the reminder of the time. You will be accountable to the Consultants in Emergency Medicine.
