The Radiology Directorate has a full range of modern specialty imaging services. All our general x-ray rooms are DR. We operate over two sites, which includes Ellesmere Port Hospital. This is where our newly opened Community Diagnostic Hub (CDH) is located. In the CDH we CT/MRI/Ultrasound/DEXA and Plain Film Departments. This enables us to provide the best possible Diagnostic Service for our patients. In the near future we will be expanding our Interventional Radiology department with two new suites and day ward.
The Trust has also built a brand new Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC)
The Countess of Chester Hospital is the Regional Vascular Centre and also a Trauma Unit.
Opportunities for postgraduate study are encouraged and supported by the Directorate, and evidence of CPD is essential.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated Radiographer to join our expanding friendly and dynamic team. The successful candidate would need Band 6 experience in General X-Ray and DEXA scanning.
The role will also include involvement in staff and student training to further broaden your experience.
A BSc/ DCR in Radiography is essential, and you must be registered with the HCPC.
