Working Full time : 37.5 hours per week
We are looking for an Enhanced Practitioner to undertake x-ray guided interventional procedures and all aspects of mammography.
The unit consists of three GE Pristina X-Ray rooms which have tomosynthesis and CESM capabilities. There are also 3 GE ultrasound rooms.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will perform all aspects of mammography and work as an Enhanced Practitioner in the Breast Imaging Unit, carrying out X-Ray guided core biopsies and localisations.
Uses motivational skills to gain informed consent in order to sustain co-operation for x-ray guided biopsy and localisation.
Adapt communication skills, being sensitive to differing emotional needs of the patient.
Outline reasons for biopsy/localisation
Carry out imaging during screening, symptomatic and screening assessment clinics.
Use specialist x-ray equipment safely
Take an active role in development of departmental protocols
Undertaking postgraduate development
Upholding the Data Protection Act and patient confidentiality Trust rules

The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust provides services to West Cheshire and to Welsh patients covered by Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board.
