Clinical Education Support Technician

Working Part time: 23 hours per week

Are you passionate about supporting education and training to ensure skills and simulation are delivered to the highest standard, if so this job may be for you. We are recruiting a highly motivated, organized individual to work as a Clinical Education support technician. You will play an important role in supporting clinical staff, ensuring all of the equipment they need for teaching and simulation is ready and well maintained.

Main duties of the job

1) To assist all clinical and education staff in the setting up of their education sessions, using excellent communication skills to ensure the smooth running of the training.

2)The post holder will be required to work collaboratively within the multi disciplinary team, they will be asked to carry out tasks without direct supervision.

3)The post holder will be responsible for sourcing, maintaining and repairing equipment, this includes both low and high fidelity mannikins.

About us

The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust provides services to West Cheshire and to Welsh patients covered by Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. The Trust works collaboratively within the wider Cheshire and Merseyside Health and Care Partnership. Its services are provided from three locations:

o The Countess of Chester Hospital: providing 438 general and acute beds.o Ellesmere Port Hospital: providing 56 beds as a rehabilitation, intermediate and outpatient facility.o Tarporley War Memorial Hospital: a base for community services which serve the local rural population.

The Trust employs over 5916 staff (headcount) which includes temporary bank staff and provides acute emergency and elective services, primary care direct access services and obstetric services to a population of approximately 411,000. This includes 361,000 residents in Chester and West Cheshire which includes Ellesmere Port and Neston as well as the Deeside area of Flintshire which has a population of approximately 50,000.
