We are offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Ward 56 as Deputy Ward Manager.
Ward 56 specialises in Urology and ENT and comprises of 11 Surgical Beds. We care for patients requiring an inpatient admission who are admitted with Tracheostomies and complex urological issues.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Ward Manager to lead and develop the Nursing Team working with a varied cohort of patients and also helping with the flow of patients throughout the trust from the Emergency Department.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our friendly and supportive team.
Working closely with the Ward Manager you will take the lead in training and development needs to all the Staff within Ward 56 as well as working clinically and providing leadership on a day-to-day basis.
Previous surgical experience is essential, an understanding of tracheostomy care is also desirable
All teams working within the Planned Care division are working towards the common goal of delivering excellent quality care, ensuring high levels of patient satisfaction and maintaining patient flow.
About us
The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust provides services to West Cheshire and to Welsh patients covered by Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. This is an increase of nearly 10,000 compared to the previous year when there were 494,387 patient attendances.
