Who Our Opportunity is for: Qualified dietitians registered with the HCSPC who have ideally completed a rotational Band 5 position.
The Band 6 rotation is likely to include- nutrition support, frailty (including enteral feeding), long term condition management (including diabetes), development project looking at food service and provision in the hospital. These specialist rotations aim to prepare dietitians to become 'expert generalists' in line with Health Education England.
The successful candidate will help to provide a dietetic service to outpatients with Type 1 Diabetes, including insulin pump therapy and to patients with Type 2 Diabetes. There may also be potential to work across the weight management service. Overall, this job will provide a good insight into the role of a dietitian in a diabetes service.
Working hours will be Monday-Friday, with some evening and weekend working as required by the service.

The post will allow the successful candidate to work in a large dietetic team and develop generic specialist skills in a friendly, positive working environment.
You will be asked to attend a trust induction and will also have a local induction. The post will involve regular peer review and supervision and you will also be asked to supervise, band 5 dietitians, dietetic students and a dietetic assistant.

The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust provides services to West Cheshire and to Welsh patients covered by Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. The Trust works collaboratively within the wider Cheshire and Merseyside Health and Care Partnership. Its services are provided from three locations:
- The Countess of Chester Hospital: providing 438 general and acute beds.

This is an increase of nearly 10,000 compared to the previous year when there were 494,387 patient attendances.
