We are looking for a dynamic and self-motivated pharmacist to join our clinical pharmacy team for a period of 12 months maternity cover. The role will be to develop and provide education to undergraduate medical students and physician associates as well as Doctors in Training in addition to delivering effective pharmaceutical care to patients in a clinical pharmacy role.

To meet the needs of our patients we provide ward-based clinical pharmacy, pharmacist led clinics and have an extensive team of independent prescribers.
Applicants should hold a postgraduate diploma in clinical pharmacy, or demonstrable equivalent experience(see person specification) and must be registered as pharmacists with the GPhC and have experience of teaching or tutoring.
Main duties of the job
To prepare, organise and deliver teaching as part of the safe prescribing program for undergraduate medical students as specified by the University of Liverpool Medical School and for Physician Associates as specified by the University of Chester.
Attend the regional safe prescribing pharmacy group meetings and contribute to the syllabus planning process at the Universities.
Apply highly specialist knowledge to the preparation and delivery of education material to Physician Associates and undergraduate medical students in line with the GMC / HENW guidelines and strategy for safe prescribing.
Upon completion of the relevant training prepare and mark assessments for medical undergraduate students in line with university requirements e.g. FOSCE, OSCE, PSA and admission assessments.
Prepare and deliver teaching to Foundation level doctors and mark/assessment work as necessary in accordance with the national syllabus set out by the GMC e.g.
To work as an advanced clinical pharmacist within a defined clinical area.
